As consumers, we rarely think about the intricate network of logistics behind all the myriad household objects we use on a daily basis. From toothbrushes to sink-mats to reusable tie straps for potato chip packs, each one of these items has a system and a story. This is where the International Housewares Association (IHA) comes to play. Their mission is to be a meeting ground and showcase for the vast range of household products, both humble and grand.
We entered the Quilo 3in1 Fan with Evaporative Air Cooler & Humidifier into the IHA’s annual Global Innovations Awards for product design. This competition recognizes innovation and excellence in retail housewares; entrants span the globe and cover 13 unique categories. Reading through the list of nominees is truly a feast for the imagination: the Smart Home category features a spice dispenser that portions the perfect blends of pre-loaded spices to make exotic new mixes; a mouthwash, originating from the Netherlands and formulated with active oxygen, revolutionizes oral hygiene and is aptly showcased in the Personal Care category.
But I digress! Here’s the exciting news: The Quilo 3in1 was nominated as one of five finalists in Household & Home Electrics category! Products pass a rigorous criteria to be eligible for nomination. They must be unique in appearance, innovative in function, provide real benefit to the user while also embracing ecological responsibility. The Quilo 3in1 evaporative cooler is a breakthrough in the swamp cooler market with its sleek design, quiet operation, powerful cooling and its commitment to energy efficiency. We are super pumped. Winners will be announced at the 2018 International Home + Housewares Show on March 10… So, stay tuned. Whatever the outcome, we are proud to be represented among the global pioneers of the everyday.
